I have all of them in front of me — see links below. Having owned several Blitzwolf battery packs over the years, I have high hopes for these controllers. Note that in the image below — I have the relay, button and LED working but not the power monitoring. Power output, button and indicator work just fine. See this BlakAdder site for other device templates.

The SHP-6 claims it can handle W. As many of you will know, this means w non-inductive load — i. The device has a manual override button on the top which also doubles up for programming. Though not clear on the packaging, I suggest this will be the total for both sockets.

We decided to use Tuya -convert on all three units. For Tasmota setup of the devices, the relevant Tasmota Github page is as good a place as any to check. Download all needed software… be patient… once done, I suggest downloading the latest tasmota-wifiman. So out with the soldering iron — the SS1 is actually quite easy.

A Blitzwolf Blitz with Tasmota and Tuya Convert

I connected ground, 3v3, serial in and out — and shorted the programming wire to ground. A minute or so later it was done — telling me to power cycle the device. That all worked well but when complete — all I got was a blue light on — more or less constantly — Antonio was off out with friends so I was on my own. I figured out that maybe the FTDI was not providing enough power at 3v3 as I was convinced I had done everything right.

This unit, unlike the previous devices, has no power monitoring but it does handle 15A in a tiny box.

I bought several Tuya devices a while ago Gosund single outlets, sold in the US on Amazon and all but one flashed without issue. The last one had newer firmware and resisted the Tuya-Convert efforts. I wanted it to control power and lights on my 3D printer, so I took the chance because Mr.

Blakadder had a template for it. Refreshed my RPi with updates and all-new Tuya Convert install. Even flashed a D1 Mini with the WiFi helper. Powered up the new outlet strip, started the process. Before I could even cross my fingers, it was done.

Plugged in the previously Tuya-Convert-resistant outlet and it too, fell under my control. Clearly there are some very clever people at work here because I have no idea how it works. It just does.

Keep up the good work here. I assumed it was something like that, but there are a bunch of transactions that go on between the Pi program and the device that I can only marvel at.

Very clever people at work there. Here too of course, based on what I read. Your email address will not be published. What is the sum of 2 and 17? Have you needed to connect wires or through web interface? I need to connect wires. The procedure is similar. When flashed, configure it as KA10 64 via the web interface. Some photo. Easier that soldering on those small pins.

I used KA10 as module type. The only thing I don't like about this device is that it shows wrong voltage and amps. Does it need any calibration? Or maybe the KA10 settings need any adjustments?

I have installed Tasmota without any problem using tuya-convert and it is working fine. But today when trying to integrate it into HA, I noticed it is not turning off anymore the power, even if the relay seems to be working. Please, address this to the Tasmota Support Chat. We use optional third-party analytics cookies to understand how you use GitHub.Make the Sonoff smart power controller even more awesome by installing the Tasmota open source firmware. Tasmota adds many new features, and allows you to integrate Sonoffs into an existing home automation system without relying on external cloud services. I have edited the text instructions below to match, but screenshots and the video still refer to the old name.

You can make the connections using jumper wires and the instructions in my previous video, or you can use my handy little programming adapter. Both methods do exactly the same thing: my programming adapter just makes it neat and easy. Connecting your computer to a Sonoff while it is connected to mains is extremely dangerous. Details of the electrical connection are shown in the previous episode, so check that out if you need more information.

The Tasmota firmware and its documentation is available at github. The binary releases are at:.

Solenoid n89 failure

The binaries fall into several categories which are outlined on the releases page. That way if I come back to it later, I can see what version I downloaded. Esptool is a utility that can be used to read and write the flash memory on devices using the ESP and ESP microcontrollers, including all current Sonoff models. You can download esptool from github. The exact location of the virtual serial port will vary depending on the type of converter that you have, what operating system you use, and which physical USB port you plug the converter into.

Then release GPIO0. This process is explained in detail in the previous video. If you want to make a backup of the original firmware so you can restore it back to factory-original later, jump to the addendum near the bottom and then return here. Otherwise, carry on!

Open a terminal, and go into the directory where you have the Tasmota binary. Use esptool to push it to the Sonoff using the serial port location that you found earlier:. While esptool is doing the upload it will report useful information about the hardware in your Sonoff, including the MAC address. You can copy and paste the MAC address out of the terminal and save it in a document or spreadsheet for future reference if you want to.

Disconnect the Sonoff power power, then reconnect it. On your computer or smartphone, go into WiFi settings and look for a network with a name similar to this.

Make a note of the network name, because you will need it in a moment! Your computer should then automatically open a captive portal, with a WiFi configuration screen for the Sonoff. For further infos see Issue Please see the Hardware Preparation page for general instructions. There are currently at least two versions of this device. The newer Version has exposed contacts with holes for all connections necessary to flash tasmota, while the old requires soldering of cables to some points.

Carefully remove PCB from casing for easier soldering. SHP6 10A model:. SHP6 15A model:. If you do not want to solder you can try using crocodile clips and manually push a jumper cable first to IO0 enter flash mode while booting, i. Just be careful to not cause any short-circuit with the clips on the other side of the pads. Crocodile clips. The following programming adapter could be an option, which requires no soldering or significant disassembly on the SHP It significantly reduces the effort of reflashing multiple SHP-6 units.

Thingiverse link. V and GPIO0. YOu can use small jumper cables to directly connect a programmer, so no further disassembly is required. Approach the calibration using the Method 2. If not satisfied with the results, you could mod the SMD direct measure resistor or mitigate this using a Tasmota set of rules values valid only for the 10A model :. PH1 screwdriver required. Pages Home. With little documentation online, I took it apart and attempted to flash it via serial. After a few set backs, it became apparent that the serial pins are broken out via the USB connector N. It's assumed that you already know how to flash Tasmota onto a device once it's connected via serial.

This section is mostly me waffling about how I figured out how to flash the device, so if you just want the Tl;Dr, skip it. It didn't take long to trace them and figure out they're broken out on pins 4 and 3 of the Micro USB connector. So why wouldn't it flash over serial? I was powering the device via USB when flashing, so presumably the charger was interfering with the process - they often have resistors on the lines to signal current capacity, and the ID pin may be pulled to ground.

Now we know how this thing is put together, we can flash it without needing to solder anything. Preparing the Device for flashing Now we know where the serial console lines are broken out, we can get things hooked up ready for flashing. They're cheap and readily available. I had to solder some header pins on mine. You will need to reverse these connections when connection to your Serial Adapter.

Use the diagram below to help get things connected. I used an adjustable bench top power supply but you can use anything that puts out 5V. The ESP can use up to mA of current, so make sure it's got suitable capacity. You will also need to bond the grounds together. Make sure its set to 3. After a few seconds the TYWE3S will be in boot mode and you can remove the jumper wire and begin flashing.

I won't cover actually flashing the device here, but that should be enough to get your started. You may find the following tools useful for flashing:. Before disconnecting the wires you used for flashing, connect to the Tasmota device and get it connected to your Wifi and set up the basics.
